Britt Perkins - Vocals

Britt Perkins is the voice of Mag.ursa.

Her family has always been supportive of her music. Her mom bought her the very first PA. She also let her band practice in the living room.

Britt loves mythology and folklore. When she was 14 she found a book on Vikings at school and she started having dreams of bears She is very into the Norse Culture and the Berserkers. Berserker means “bear shirt” and the warriors would wear bearskin and go into a frenzy in battle similar the rages of the mentally ill. She relates to the Berserkers.

Her first band was Galvorika. Then she moved onto Wrought Iron Soul. Her bands have played in venues like Next Door, Electric Cowboy, the Mecca, the Casbah and the Hideaway. They have also performed at private parties. She is also working on a solo project, Barenkrieger.

The rights of women and the mentally really mean a lot to Britt.

 AK King - Bass

Anita grew up with her mother always playing classical piano and songs from the 70’s as that was the time she was little. She got a dulcimer and then played bluegrass. She started playing guitar in 1987 and bass in 1992. Her first band was Metropolis, a Queensryche meets Megadeth style of all original music, in 1992 with her husband James Derrick King.

Anita took a hiatus from playing in 1994 due to her husband's illness. She was approached in 2010 to join a band with Jaymz Wood which would become Tattoo Bruise, all original music. She parted ways in 2014 but she will always be proud of the music they created. Anita loves all music types but her favorite is alternative metal.

The people that shaped her musically are:

   1.  Her mother Lyndia S. Gray,  Her talents and passion were incredible.

   2.  Her husband James Derrick King, who was one of the most talented guitarist and songwriters she's ever seen and her guitar teacher.

  3.  Jaymz Wood who taught her a lot about writing and gave her the courage to overcome her stage fright before every show.

Greg Tittle - Lead Guitar

Born and raised in East Tennessee, Greg grew up listening to Bluegrass, Country and Rock. When he was about 12 he heard Van Halen, the Scorpions, Black Sabbath of course, Judas Priest, Rush etc. etc. and he knew then that was the kind of music he wanted to play. Greg was first taught guitar by his Grandfather (who could play anything) and started teaching himself by listening to records and learning the licks. Out of all those guys, he was listening to Alex Lifeson and Tony Lomi who influenced him the most.

Greg was in a band called Rampage playing gigs by age 16. At 18 he moved to California and within a few months was in a band called White Hot who put out an album. White Hot started playing decent venues like The Vista Entertainment Center, The Masonic Temple, Guisarri's, and The Roxy.

Greg eventually moved back home to Tennessee. Since then he was a founding member of Skrog and Abnor Muhll. Greg was also in Five Cent Killers. Greg doesn't consider himself a flashy or extremely technical guitarist. He just wants to be a solid one that throws out really good grooves and melodies. As far as solos go, he keeps them straight and to the point as much as he can. Greg is very happy to be in Mag Ursa and is already looking forward to their next album.

Timothy Todd Cook - Drums

Tim was born and raised in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina. He got his first set of drums when he was 10. He played 1st chair Tuba in the high school band. Tim formed his first band, Triaxx, in high school. They would practice in his Mom's basement much to the dismay of their next door neighbor. Triaxx played venues in and around Asheville.
He conquered the Metal music scene in Central Florida with his double bass drumming. He has been a founding member in bands such as Triaxx 1982-1986, Mag Syndrome 1988-1991, Neli's Syn 1991-1998, Sheer Octavia 1999-2005, Xployt 2005-2008, Sons of the Working Class, 2009-2017. He has also been affiliated with bands such as Blackout, Magnitude, Norcia, Morrison's Code, Full Flight, (James Revera's) Sabbath Judas Sabbath, (SKS) Street Keen Shooter, (ICGB) International Criminal Gang of Bastards, Florisonics, Down By Law, Prime Evil Ooze, Lord Google and many more. He has performed on more than 200 studio tracks.
Tim now lives in Johnson City Tennessee. He is looking forward to seeing what Mag.ursa can do.
